Today I am working on a couple of things.
1) A surprise guys trip. I will give more details on that once the surprise has been sprung. I do not want to give away the surprise.
2)Chicken Fried Steak Road Trip with my sister. We will be eating and rating multiple restaurants near Cleveland, Tx that boast the best chicken fried steak. We had originally intended to do this in the Tulsa area, but decided closer to her neck of the woods was better for this particular trip. I have already mapped out the restaurants, built the itinerary, and have a score card made up if you are interested in doing your own CFS Road Trip in Oklahoma.
3) My husband and I turn 50 in 2027, so as a gift to ourselves, we are taking our 1st trip to Japan. I have created several itineraries for this trip with revisions being made all of the time. There are just too many amazing things to see, do, and experience in Japan. The most difficult part so far has been narrowing down what we will actually be able to fit into the 2 weeks we have alotted for this trip. If you have any questions, comments, or suggestions please email me.

Since my last post, I have gotten a few things lined out.
1) I researched and typed up a proposal for a friend and her cousin to go to Chicago
2) I researched and typed up a proposal for a friend to go on a birthday cruise. She is trying a new cruise line. Margaritaville at Sea is offering 2 levels of unlimited cruising. She is usually a Carnival girl, but is interested in unlimited cruising. I put together a couple of 4 day and a couple of 7 day cruisings offered by Margaritaville at Sea for her to try out a new cruise line.
3) I am starting to plan a trip to Texas for my sisters birthday in April.
4) I am also struggling with trying to narrow down the amount of things we want to do on our Japan Birthday trip next year. There is only so many things you can fit into 2 weeks without being at a dead run the entire time. Any suggestions would be welcomed.
5) I was also able to hammer out the details of the suprise guys trip.
6) I'm putting toghether a staycation for myself and a friend that is coming into town later this month.
7) We are also taking the grandkids to Wisconsin Dells in Augutst of this year.

I am all set to go visit my sister in Texas for her birthday!! I'm hoping that I can time the long wait times I've been reading about at some of the airports. I will keep you posted on how that goes.

Today I get to have a day out with my hubby. We are going to actually check out something that is within an hour of home and we keep saying we should do it and today is the day!! We are going to check out the Bridges of Madison County near Winterset, IA. Photos and possibly a video to follow...stay tuned...
UPDATE:
Well the Bridges of Madison County road trip turned into a tour of Winterset City Park. It is a terrific park. The Cutler-Donahoe Covered Bridge is located inside the park. One thing to note there is a wide path that looks like a wide walkway but you can drive on it. The park is set on a loop. If you take the gravel side path and follow it for, what the sign says is, a mile, but feels like more, you get to Clark Tower. There are some tighter turns and it is narrow but it is a beautiful drive and completely worth the view from the tower. Also, inside the park you can find the The Rotary Maze. It is not a tall or large hedge maze but it was fun, my husband and I went different ways at the start and ended up getting to the sundial at the center at the same time. There was a bocce ball pitch, playgrounds with a slide that is a replica of Clark Tower, fun chainsaw carvings, and a campground. Those were the things we noticed. On our way home we took the no highways route and ended up finding the only one of the Bridges that you can actually drive across, Cedar Covered Bridge. It is set on a loop with a couple of small covered picnic areas. It is down a very small patch of gravel. I highly recommend driving the Bridges of Madison County Scenic Byway. The trees are still a little bare but in full spring or fall it would be beautiful.
